Check out this new stunning viewing point in the middle of Oslo city centre! It’s free entrance and you get a great overview of the entire city centre. Actually, we think it provides one of the best views in Norway!
“The Hub” is probably the most central hotel you can find in Oslo
Clarion Royal Christiania has been closed for several years, and just opened again for the audience. The new hotel name is Clarion “The Hub” and is Oslo’s biggest hotel with 810 hotel rooms, swimming pool, gym and 2 bars. It is located in the most central part of the city, and indeed you can’t get closer to any public transportation, the parade street Karl Johan or public transport.
What is located next to the Hub?
The mall Oslo City and the central station are just above the street. The underground has got a new entrance from the corner of the hub hotel, and you have the tram station, as well as buses stopping just outside. No question why they chose the name The hub for this hotel!
A very welcoming first impression at The Hub lobby area
The first thing we noticed was the shining entrance of the reception area. It’s a huge hotel, and just at the entrance there’s a cozy bar that can be used by citizens, not only the hotel guests. It’s a welcoming feeling once you have entered the hotel.
Very modern elevators with touch monitors
If you walk straight to the end of the lobby you will find 4 elevators lightened up with a massive led screen around. This elevator is not like any ordinary one. Here each elevator has got a small touch monitor just outside. You need to choose which level you want to go to before you enter the elevator because there is no button inside of it.
Roof Top terrace on the 13th Floor with one of the best views in Norway
The 13th floor is the roof terrace, and everyone is free to access it, not only the guests. At once you arrive up there, it may look a bit small, but it’s just to walk out of the indoor bar, and you will soon see that you can walk around mostly the entire building, and there are many chairs and tables located around the long balconies.
The view is stunning! Here you can see the sea, the Opera, the central station, the mall and all the surrounding streets from East to West. If you have only some few minutes to spend in Oslo, this roof terrace will give you the ultimate overview of what Oslo has to offer!
This rooftop bar and its killer views are worth a trip to Oslo alone. Whether it is sophisticated dining, cocktails at sunset, music beats or family fun, take your pick from our compilation of Oslo’s new rooftop bar! We are sure you will love it and return here many times during your Oslo stay!
More than only cocktail drinks
Although Norda is a dedicated cocktail bar, they also serve coffee. I was there on a relatively cold day in August, and I ordered a cappuchino. The coffee was delicious, and the price was 49 NOK ( approximately 6 USD), and it’s not much more than in a regular coffee bar in Oslo. So now you know, you can also visit this hidden pearl on a cloudy day!
Here we give you an exclusive look at the panoramic views from The Hub! Hope you enjoy these amazing views!
One of the best views in Norway!
If you have only some few hours to spend in Oslo, you should spend 5 minutes on the top of The Hub! Norda restaurant and bar provides one of the best views in Norway, and it’s a relaxed atmosphere. Family friendly and not too expensive drinks.
